Rayford Road needed a happy hour that was not an afterthought. Nacho Padres runs Monday–Friday, 3–6pm: house margaritas at $5.99 (frozen or rocks), specialty ritas at $9.99, frozen flights at $19.99, and a line of $6.99 bites.
The smash burger situation
Yes, it is a Tex-Mex restaurant. Yes, the burger is the thing half the bar is eating.
TWTX wrote that the happy-hour smash burger combines two charred smashed patties, American cheese, pickles, and grilled onions — “our new burger crush, and a screaming bargain.” It is happy hour only. If you show up at 6:05, order fajitas and learn a lesson.
Other $6.99 bites: flautas, Irish boats, skewered shrimp, Padres nachos, house guacamole, a la carte tacos.
Who this happy hour is for
- Spring folks getting off work along 242 / Rayford.
- Woodlands and Shenandoah tables who want a ritá before the dinner rush.
- Conroe drivers who can hit 45 and be in a booth before 4.
It is not a penny pitcher night. It is a crafted cantina discount window with food that is actually good. That is rarer than it should be.
Then stay for dinner
When 6pm hits, the full menu and full drinks list take over. Fajitas, enchiladas, cactus tacos. Draft flights if the table is still in conference.
Hours otherwise: 11am–10pm weekdays, 9:30am–10pm weekends. Address 2121 Rayford Rd, Spring, TX 77386. Map. Leave a Google review if the smash ruins you for other $7 burgers.
